2019 Annual General Meeting Toronto
Toronto is hosting the 2019 AGM May 31-June 2! The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for members and activists to come together and inspire one another, to learn about each other’s efforts and campaigns, to share stories and experiences, and to listen and participate in our sessions and panels. The AGM is also Amnesty Canada’s highest decision-making body and a place where important governance work happens, including electing our National Board and voting on resolutions that guide us in how we do our work. Throughout the weekend, you will meet and interact with individuals and groups from coast to coast. who share your commitment to human rights, and make important decisions involving our work. We hope that when you leave AGM, you leave with new skills, inspiring stories, and a refreshed sense of hope and determination.
In order to vote at the AGM or in online elections, you must be a member 30 days before the AGM (May 1st, 2019).

Amnesty International Canada AGM Inclusivity and Accessibility Statement
As an organization committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Amnesty International Canada strives to organize events that are a safe, welcoming, and accessible space for every person who chooses to participate. We recognize that the format, content, and organizing model of many annual general meetings—including our own—create barriers to meaningful inclusion. We recognize and commit to dismantling the multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination which make our annual general meetings inaccessible to some of our supporters. We commit to organizing our 2019 annual general meeting using an anti-oppression lens. Our goal is an annual general meeting where every participant feels safe, respected, included, supported, and inspired.
To further discuss how we can help ensure the annual general meeting is a safe, accessible, welcoming space for you, please contact AGM Site Coordinator
